Mullein cough tea and steam

Dry, tickly, or tight chest. Strain the wool twice or you will cough more, not less.

20 minutes · 1 mug, or a steam bowl

  1. Tea: 1 Tbsp crumbled dry leaf in a mug, just-off-boil water, covered 15 minutes.
  2. Pour through a cloth, then through it again. Drink warm, honey if they are over one.
  3. Steam: a handful of leaf in a bowl of steaming water. Towel over head. Breathe 5–10 minutes with eyes closed. Same pot as thyme if you have both.
Dose
1–3 cups a day while the cough is loud. Steam once or twice.
Store
Dry leaf in paper, then a jar, a year.

The fuzz is the problem if you skip the cloth. This is not for a person who cannot breathe — that is first aid, not tea.
