tea
Nettle infusion
Spring mineral jar. Food-like, not a cold cure, but the cup people miss when the greens are gone.
4–8 hours · 1 quart
- A pint jar: 1 oz dried nettle (a good handful). Fill with just-off-boil water. Lid.
- Sit 4 hours or overnight. Strain. Drink through the next day, cold or warmed.
- Dose
- 1–2 cups a day in season. Some people start this before ragweed and swear by it. Others just get a green cup.
- Store
- Drink within a day. Dry leaf in jars, a year.
Gloves to pick. Dry it before it flowers if you can. This is food-strength, not a steroid.
